Solar Power: Achieving Cost Competitiveness

What cost savings can be realized using scalable and differentiated solar technologies and when?

Tuesday, September 25, 2007
5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Westin Long Beach
333 East Ocean Boulevard
Long Beach, CA 90095

Solar markets both in Europe and the US are growing rapidly, but are still very

dependent on government subsidies. In order to create a market many times the

size it is today, the industry has to decrease the cost of cells, modules and installed

systems. Thin-film technologies using new materials have promised a lot, but are

still in the process of delivering. Silicon based technologies, which still represent

the vast majority of the market also drive many avenues to achieve cost reduction.

We will be discussing the cost reduction potential, barriers to achieve those and

expected timelines at our event.

GABA is proud to announce their 2nd annual Clean Technology Industry Group

event at the US Solar Power Conference. We invite you to join us for this exciting

event in Long Beach organized with the support of SEMI, TiE, GACC San Francisco

and UCLA/CEES.

Specific topics to be discussed will include:

• Tangible cost saving opportunities for differentiated technologies

• Most critical hurdles to achieve them

• Time lines for delivery
