Description
The Center for Cultural Studies at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is pleased to announce the Y. K. Pao Postdoctoral Teaching Fellowship for the academic year 2000-2001. Candidates should have a Ph.D in hand in any field in the arts, humanities or social science with a special interest in critical and cultural theory, or colonial and postcolonial studies in Asian communities. The successful candidate will be expected to teach one undergraduate course per semester in English, Cantonese or Putonghua, and to assist the Center Director in planning and coordinating conferences, workshops and other scholarly activities.
Eligibility
Candidates should have a Ph.D in hand in any field in the arts, humanities or social science with a special interest in critical and cultural theory, or colonial and postcolonial studies in Asian communities.
Stipend
A stipend of HK$30,000 per month (at current rates, roughly US$46,450 per annum) is provided. The contract of one year is renewable up to a total of three years.
