I am also a travel enthusiast having visited most of the U.S. and Europe, South America, the Caribbean, Central America, the Middle East, and Africa. In Africa I have visited: Morocco, the Western Sahara, Egypt, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Djibouti and Somalia (Somaliland).
Prior to matriculating at UCLA I interned at the American Chamber of Commerce in Morocco and for the Obama Presidential Campaign in California. Also during my undergraduate career at UCSB, I volunteered by building houses in northern Mexico and I helped to coordinate after school extra-curricular sports at the Isla Vista Elementary School.
In March 2009 I founded a micro-finance organization called the Buseesa Community Development Centre (BCDC) in Western Uganda. I am still involved with project.
