Enable/Disable Email Vacation Message

Instructions on how to enable and disable the email vacation message feature for @international.ucla.edu email accounts

Outlook Exchange Users

Option 1

  • To enable a vacation message,
    open Outlook.  Click on the Tools menu and select "Out of Office Assistant…"  Select "I am currently Out of the Office" and compose an away message in the space below.  Click the "Ok" button.
  • To disable a vacation message,
    open Outlook.  Click on the Tools menu and select "Out of Office Assistant…"  Select "I am currently In the Office."

Option 2

  • To enable a vacation message,
    go to www.exchange.ss.ucla.edu.  Login with your username (username@international.ucla.edu) and email password.  Once logged in, click on the "Options" button in the bottom, left-hand corner of the page.  Under the Out of Office Assistant title select "I'm currently out of the office" and compose an away message in the space below.  Click on the "Save and Close" button at the top of the page.
  • To disable a vacation message,
    go to www.exchange.ss.ucla.edu.  Login with your username (username@international.ucla.edu) and email password.  Once logged in, click on the "Options" button in the bottom, left-hand corner of the page.  Under the Out of Office Assistant title select "I'm currently in the office."  Click on the "Save and Close" button at the top of the page.
