Professor Lisa Kim Davis will discuss the ongoing impact of the Seoul Olympics on Seoul's physical environment and in the later half of the colloquium lead a discussion of interdisciplinarity and the study of Korea, comparative scholarship (much of Davis's work compares Seoul with other Northeast Asian mega-cities) and the beauty of/trap of particularism in Korean Studies.
