1. Special Issues
In addition to general issues, the Heritage Language Journal plans four special issues for 2006-2007, on the following topics:
- Chinese; guest editor Hongyin Tao (UCLA); publication anticipated in the spring of 2006.
- Russian; guest editor David Andrews (Georgetown University); publication anticipated in the fall of 2006.
- Heritage Language Learning and TESOL; guest editors Linda Jensen (UCLA) and Debra Suarez (College of Notre Dame); publication anticipated in the winter of 2007.
- Korean; guest editors Jin Sook Lee (UC Santa Barbara) and Sarah J. Shin (University of Maryland, Baltimore County); publication anticipated in the spring of 2007. Papers for the Korean issue will be accepted until June 1, 2006.
We are grateful to all our guest editors for making these issues possible.
2. Formatting
The page numbers of the pdf versions of our papers now reflect continuous pagination by issue. For example, the first paper listed in this volume’s Table of Contents is page 1-26 of this issue; the second paper is page 27-59, etc. We hope this will allow for easier citation to HLJ papers. We would like to thank Donald Loewen at Binghamton University for suggesting this sensible innovation.
