About UCLA MUN
UCLA MUN is one of the premier Model United Nations programs in the world. It is one of the nine American collegiate Model UN programs (the others are Harvard, Yale, Penn, Chicago, Georgetown, Berkeley, Virginia, and Princeton) with the ability to host both a high school and college conference and field a competitive travel team.
The high school conference is among the largest and most prestigious in the United States and annually draws around 1,300 delegates from all regions of the U.S. and around the world. Despite its relative youth, the college conference has attracted some of the top college MUN teams in the country.
UCLA MUN is also very competitive in the intercollegiate MUN circuit and has won many awards, including the 2006 Golden Bear Award (State Championship) at UC Berkeley. Recent travels have brought the team to Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and Vancouver.
UCLA MUN is also an active leader within the greater MUN community by providing outreach to local high schools. Many of its members also staff conferences hosted by the UNA-USA (New York, Los Angeles, Houston, and Tampa) and at various other conferences hosted by other MUN organizations across the United States.
