Learning Languages Is Good for the Brain
Discovery News reported Thursday, and the BBC News and Asian News International report today, on research reviewed by Jared Diamond, UCLA professor of physiology and geography, indicating that those who learn multiple languages have greater mental capacity, are able to multi-task more effectively and are better able to cope with Alzheimer's disease than monolingual individuals.
