UCLA Visiting Professor will be reading from his novels Verre cassé & Mémoires de porc-épic
ALAIN MABANCKOU, winner of the 2006 Prix Renaudot & UCLA Visiting Professor, will be reading from his novels Verre cassé & Mémoires de porc-épic.
THIS EVENT IS FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
A reception will follow at 8:00 p.m. and conclude by 9:00.
Mabanckou is from Congo-Brazzaville. He has published several novels, short-stories and volumes of poetry. Three of his novels are due to be published in English in 2007. His book on James Baldwin in France is due out in late 2007.
