The Center for Jain Studies is very pleased to announce the opening of a photography exhibit of Jain temples at the Claremont School of Theology Library. The exhibit is made possible by the generous donations of Dr. Mahendra and Asha Pandya, and the Federation of Jain Associations in North America (JAINA). Featuring stunning photographs of ancient Jain temples (Tirthas) from across India, taken between the years of 2003 and 2013 by professional photographers for the yearly JAINA calendar publications, the exhibit showcases sacred spaces which are said to provide the inspiration for souls to cross over from this-worldly engagement to liberation.
The exhibit will be on view from April 18 through June 14, and is free and open to all.
