The Promise Armenian Institute at UCLA is proud to be a sponsor of the documentary “100 Years from Home,” to be shown on PBS SoCal on Tuesday, September 1st at 8:30 PM. Watch the trailer here. On the 100th anniversary of the start of the Armenian Genocide, an Armenian American woman ventures to Armenia and into Turkey in search of her great-grandparents' long-lost house. “100 Years from Home” is a film about family, loss, and survival through a deeply personal lens. The film was nominated for Best Documentary at the 2019 Arpa International Film Festival, where it premiered to a sold-out screening.

 

"100 Years from Home" will be re-broadcast on Sunday, September 6th at 4:00pm, on PBS SoCal and live at pbssocal.com/live

"What Will Become of Us," a documentary that explores how Armenian Americans can honor their past while unshackling themselves from its trauma, will also be broadcast on PBS SoCal on September 6th at 2:30 PM (PDT).
