Mya Chau received her MA (2014) and PhD (2020) with an emphasis on Asian Art History from UCLA. Her research examines Buddhist visual culture and international cultural exchanges in India, China, and Southeast Asia. In 2015, she was a Blakemore Freeman Fellow and recipient of the 2019 Women of Vision Award. Mya has conducted fieldwork in Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, France, and Singapore. She currently teaches at Loyola Marymount University and serves as a Research Assistant for the Scholars Program and Curatorial Department at the Getty Research Institute.
