Shohini Kundu is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Anderson School of Management. Her research lies in the triad of (I) security design and externalities of financial contracts, (II) financial intermediation and macroeconomics, and (III) emerging market finance with a special interest in development of the Indian economy.

She received a PhD in Finance and MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a BA in Economics with high honors and distinction from Cornell University.

She has received multiple awards for her research. Notably, she was the winner of the BlackRock Applied Research Award, finalist in the European Central Bank’s Young Economists’ Competition, and received the Qatar Centre for Global Banking and Finance Young Economist Prize, WFA Award for Outstanding Research, Eugene F. Fama Fellowship, and Stigler Center Award.
