Social enterprises are organizations that seek to expand their social influence through business activities. Sustainable growth of social enterprises requires solving societal problems while maintaining commercial viability. So far, discussions on social enterprises have focused primarily on their social impact. This colloquium will discuss the need to support the sustainable commercial viability of social enterprises from a management perspective and approach the operation of social enterprises from a marketing perspective. Based on the basic philosophy of modern marketing, the Professor Lee will suggest how to maintain the commercial viability of social enterprises, which would help establish marketing strategies to improve competitiveness in products and services.
