The UCLA Terasaki Center for Japanese Studies is offering a scholarship opportunity for one UCLA undergraduate student to participate in UTSIP, a summer internship program with the University of Tokyo.

As part of the newly established Terasaki Centennial Scholars Endowment, the UCLA Terasaki Center will provide airfare for one UCLA undergraduate student to travel to Japan for the program. All program costs, including housing, will be covered by the University of Tokyo.

Applications will be available from late November and must be submitted by January 31, 2019. More information can be found at the UTSIP website here

 

Program Information

UTSIP Kashiwa, initiated by the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences in 2013, provides a hands-on research internship program in the departments of Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Studies, Information Technology, International Studies, Materials Sciences, Advanced Energy, Ocean Science, Physics and Sustainability Science Studies.

Program A June 3 (Mon) to July 12 (Fri), 2019

Program B June 24 (Mon) to August 2 (Fri), 2019
