Once Adrift: UCLA NSU's 33rd Annual Cultural Night

UCLA’s Nikkei Student Union (NSU) invites you to their 33rd Annual Cultural Night: Once Adrift.
Come and learn more regarding Japanese American culture and experience and see performances by our 2019 Drama Cast, Kyodo Taiko, NSU Modern, and NSU Odori!

*DRAMA*

This year’s performance focuses on mental health within the Japanese American community, and incorporates elements such as family relationships, friendships, and the transition to college. The storyline deals with themes of hope and understanding through Jessica, a Japanese American college freshman who is learning how to navigate her own mental health. Given increased efforts to challenge stigmas surrounding mental illness, especially within the collegiate sphere, we are excited to highlight this important topic.
