In collaboration with the UCLA Center for European and Russian Studies (CERS).

Maria Sobolewska and Robert Ford explore the long-term social and demographic changes amongst the British Polish, noting the conflict they create. They argue that choices made by political parties from and following the New Labour era have mobilized divisions into politics, first through conflicts over immigration, then through conflicts over the European Union, culminating in the 2016 EU referendum.
