Come join your fellow UCLA students in Russian classes of all levels in a screening of «Движение вверх» ("Going Vertical", also known as "Three Seconds"), the highest grossing film in modern Russian cinema. A real-life tale of rivalry, this sports drama follows the Soviet basketball team's journey to the 1972 Summer Olympics basketball tournament, where they face off with the U.S. Olympics basketball team at the height of the Cold War. A short discussion section will be held at the end of the screening.
