Venezuelan Supreme Court Justice Fernando Ramon Vegas Torrealba will be speaking as a judicial expert on the significant reforms occurring in Venezuela as a result of the new 1999 Constitution. He will provide a brief historical overview of Venezuela, and a constitutional comparative analysis of democracy in the country before and after 1999. Justice Fernando Ramon Vegas Torrealba was appointed to the Supreme Tribunal of Justice (TSJ) in August 2004, and assumed office on January 2005, where he sits in the Electoral Chamber of the TSJ. The Justice is a published novelist and writes regular columns for newspapers and journals.
