Each summer, the James S. Coleman African Studies Center at UCLA takes a group of K-12 teachers on an intensive travel-study trip to Morocco, North Africa. This Fulbright-Hays Group Projects Abroad is designed to enhance existing knowledge of the nation and continent as a whole through language immersion, academic training, direct personal experence, and curriculum-development. With the aim of expanding the educators' ability to teach fluently about Africa in the United States, each teacher completes a curriculum unit on Morocco to be used in their own classrooms. Follow the links below to view the curriculum units for each of the last three years of the Fulbright-Hays program.
