Fellowships for graduate students of Chinese studies in all departments and schools at UCLA

Graduate students in Chinese studies in all departments and schools at UCLA are invited to apply for Center Fellowships for 2012-13.
To be eligible, the student must have participated in regular departmental competition for support. Applications should be submitted on line by April 9th, 2012.
The online application tool will ask you to register; you may then immediately fill out and submit an application.
The application should include:
• A statement of purpose, including a review of progress made toward the Ph.D. degree and plans for further study and/or research
• Two up-to-date letters of recommendation (to be submitted by the recommenders via the online application tool)
• Up-to-date, unofficial transcript
You may review and revise your application anytime before the deadline (April 9, 2011).

Each applicant’s file will be evaluated by all members of the Fellowship Committee. In making evaluations, committee members will consider mainly: (1) letters of recommendation, (2) the statement of purpose, and (3) grades. Up-to-date letters of recommendation are especially important.
Awards will be announced by early May.
