GE-Focused Programs
While students have received GE credit on many EAP programs, the following programs are designed specifically for this purpose.

Summer Program at the University of Sussex
This program offers UCLA students the opportunity to earn 14 quarter units in eight weeks at the University of Sussex, an hour outside of London. It features some 40 lower-division courses in the fields of humanities, social sciences, and sciences. About 75% of the EAP courses at Sussex have been pre-approved by the UCLA College for GE credit. The program is available to UC sophomores, juniors, and seniors who have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
Fall Program at the UC London-Bloomsbury Center
UCLA students can earn 18 quarter units in lower-division core courses in the humanities and social sciences on the UC London program. Students are required to take one core geography course designed to provide a historical, social, economic, and political overview and introduction to London. Students also select three additional courses from a choice of eight offered in literature, art history, politics, history, theater, film, and sociology. The program is available to sophomores, juniors, and seniors who have a minimum 2.5 GPA
Fall Program at American University of Paris: Introductory Studies in Western Civilization
UCLA students on the AUP program study beginning French and courses on the theme of Western European studies, with special emphasis on Paris, France, and European culture. Most courses in this program have been pre-approved by the UCLA College for GE credit. Some of these courses may fulfill major requirements in the fields of art history, literature, communications, history, urban culture, political science and psychology. Participation in this program is open to sophomores and juniors with a 3.0 GPA and no prior knowledge of French.
