Chinese Language Teaching Position, Spring Semester

Part-time position offered at Pepperdine University

Pepperdine University’s Division of International Studies and Languages, Asian Studies Program, invites applications for one part-time position in Chinese Language, for the Spring, 2007, semester. 

Applicants will be responsible for teaching our second-year Chinese language class.  This position may be renewed for next fall.

Qualifications for the position: near-native fluency in Mandarin Chinese, fluency in English.  If applicant is a native speaker, a B.A. from a Chinese university in a Humanities field is required; if a non-native speaker, an M.A. in a Chinese language, linguistics or literature field is required.  Teaching experience is critical.
