The China Program of The Carter Center seeks a Program Associate to provide technical and administrative support to all aspects of the program's activities to promote democracy, rule of law and social justice in China.
The Program Associate will work with consultants and external experts, manage budget/grant information and program files. He/She will handle the logistics for meeting, conferences, travel, and coordinate/participate in the editing and updating of the China Elections & Governance website. May supervise interns and volunteers.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a field related to program area and two years of related program management experience. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in history, politics, public policy, sociology, and international relations and two years of related experience. High level of Chinese reading skill is required. Fluency in Chinese, extensive knowledge of Chinese politics, society and US-China relations, and work experience with an NGO that has China related activities are preferred.
