Call for Papers: Grad Student Conference on Indentity in East Asia

Colorado Univ. East Asian Graduate Assoc. announces 8th annual conference

The CU East Asian Graduate Association (CUEAGA) announces its 8th annual graduate conference: "Margins and Centers: Constructing and Subverting Identity in East Asia." The conference will be held on April 13 and 14, 2007. The keynote speaker will be Dr. William Lafleur, Professor of Japanese Studies at the University of Pennsylvania.

CUEAGA is currently accepting proposals (up to 500 words) focusing on East Asia from students in disciplines including (but not limited to) history, anthropology, literature, religious studies, and sociology.  Proposals should be submitted by March 5.  Those applicants accepted will be notified by March 13.

Presentations should be approximately twenty minutes in length. Presenters will be grouped into panels by subject.
