The Middle Eastern and North African Studies (MENAS) Major and Minor are designed for students seeking a general education and desiring a special emphasis in this geographic area from the end of antiquity to the present, for those who plan to live and work in the Middle East and North Africa, for those who seek background knowledge of the Middle Eastern and North African heritage in the U.S, and for students preparing for academic study at the graduate level in various disciplines.
