Khulna --- Judge Abdus Salam Shikder of Khulna Speedy Trial Tribunal will deliver verdict in journalist Belal murder case today.
The date was fixed by the judge on Tuesday on completion of argument.
Sheikh Belaluddin Ahmed, Khulna bureau Chief of Dainik Sangram, was killed in a bomb attack in February 2005 on Khulna Press Club compound.
OC Iqbal Hossain of Khulna Sadar police station who investigated the case submitted charge sheet in the case on November 17, 2005.
The court recorded statements of 31 out of 49 prosecution witnesses during the trial.
The charge-sheeted accused are Jamaat-e-Islami leader Shahabuddin Lashkar Dhira, Islami Chhatra Shibir leader Ekhlasur Rahman and extremists Iqbal Hossain Shadhin, Rafiqul Islam, Mirajul Islam and Goda Yunus.
