Join the Burkle Center for an opportunity to hear leaders in the field of international affairs speak candidly about what they did after graduation and how today's recent graduates can prepare for a career in international affairs.

• Arthur Grace: Photographer & Author, Life, Time, Newsweek and NYT

Arthur Grace began his professional career in 1973 as a staff photographer for United Press International. During his award-winning career in photojournalism spanning three decades, he covered stories around the globe as a contract photographer for Time magazine and a staff photographer for Newsweek magazine. Through his affiliation with Sygma photo agency and now Zuma Press, his photographs have regularly appeared in leading publications worldwide, including on the covers of Life, Time, Newsweek, The New York Times Magazine, Paris Match and Stern.

• Soparvan Suphamongkhon: Former Senior Vice President, HSBC Thailand & Managing Director, Kanta Enterprise Int’l

Soparvan Suphamongkhon is a business leader in the banking and finance sectors. For more than 20 years Ms. Suphamongkhon has worked for the world's leading banks including: fuji Bank (Chicago); Continental Bank (Chicago); 3M Sante (Paris); GE Capital Thailand (Bangkok); et al. Ms. Suphamongkhon created her own consulting firm, Kanoo; she was also Managing Director of Kanta Enterprise International and Director of Kanta Sahakij. Ms. Suphamongkhon holds a BS degree in Commerce from the University of Illinois, Urbana, and an MA degree in International Management at the American Graduate School of Management (Thunderbird) with a specialization in International Marketing and Japanese.

• Michaeljulius Idani: Asset Management Associate, The Capital Group Companies

Michaeljulius Y. Idani is a TAP associate for The Capital Group Companies, a group of investment management companies. Mr. Idani joined Capital in 2008 as a participant in "The Associates Program" (a global rotational program). Prior to joining Capital, Mr. Idani pursued his PhD in Social Policy at the University of Oxford; MS in Public Policy at Harvard University; and BS in Information Management at Syracuse University. He is based in Los Angeles.

• Alex Turkeltaub: Managing Director & Founder, Frontier Strategy Group

Alex Turkeltaub is responsible for hiring, company culture, and sales at Frontier Strategy Group. Prior to joining the Frontier Strategy Group, Mr. Turkeltaub was a consultant at McKinsey & Company, where his work focused on the extractives and banking industries. Mr. Turkeltaub holds BA and MA degrees in International Relations and International Policy Studies from Stanford University and a law degree from the Yale Law School.

• (Moderator) Anna Spain – Deputy Director, UCLA Burkle Center

A light lunch will be provided. There will be an opportunity to meet with our guest speakers after the panel.
