Ufahamu Call for Artistic Works/Reviews on Africa and African Diasporas

Ufahamu: A Journal of African Studies is seeking artistic works related to Africa or African diasporas from all genres. We are interested in publishing works of visual art (drawings, paintings, photographs, images of non-2D forms like sculpture, etc.) in our online Journal format. We are also interested in publishing written creative expressions, such as poetry, short stories, other fiction or new experimental genres. This is an open call for any and all artistic representations related in any way to Africa or its diasporas or themes pertinent to African studies. If your work does not fit into one of the above mentioned genres, this is not a problem, please feel more than free to contact us for more information as to how your work can contribute to the Journal. You may contact or submit to: ufahamu@gmail.com.

Ufahamu General Call for Papers//Reviews on Africa and African Diasporas

Ufahamu: A Journal of African Studies publishes at least two issues per year.  With this, we continuously accept submissions.  Although we may occasionally publish special, thematic issues, most issues treat a broad range of topics. So, please, feel free to submit all of your African-related work to the Journal and we shall give it the proper attention and care.   We encourage you to submit scholarly articles, book reviews, fiction, poetry, commentaries, political and economic analyses and review articles.  All submissions should be sent to ufahamu@gmail.com with the subject title: “General Submission Call.”  While electronic submissions are always preferred, you may send hard copies to the mailing address above. If you have any further questions, you may contact the editors at jrlevi@ucla.edu and mthiam@ucla.edu or access our website at http://www.international.ucla.edu/africa/ufahamu/.

Thank you very much and we are very excited to receive your submission(s).
