Vesna Wallace is Assistant Professor in the Department of Religious Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She earned her B.A. at the University of Zagreb in Croatia, her M.A. at the University of Washington, and her Ph.D. at UC Berkeley. She has done extensive fieldwork on the revival of Buddhism and religion in contemporary Mongolia.
 
Prof. Wallace's books include:
  • Translator, A Guide to the Bodhisattva Way of Life by Santideva. Albany, NY: Snow Lion Publications,1995.
  • The Inner Kalacakratantra: A Buddhist Tantric View of the Individual. New York: Oxford University Press, 2001.
  • The Kalacakratantra: The Second Chapter with the Vimalaprabha Commentary. Translated from Sanskrit, Tibetan, and Mongolian. New York: Columbia University Press, 2001.
  • At UCSB Prof. Wallace teaches sanskrit, as well as Buddhist Traditions in South Asia and Religion and Healing in Global Perspective.  She also offers graduate seminars.
