Scott designs, produces and maintain websites for the UCLA International Institute and its member centers. He is a user-experience designer and content strategist. He serves as a bridge between design and programming, project management and content strategy.

He likes to build easy-to-use tools and help people publish and communicate on the Internet.

He codes websites using web standards and the latest css, html and jquery to improve accessibility, keep pages lite so they load fast, and facilitate production methods that offer flexiblity to support quick changes in overall visual, navigation and content design. His visual design aesthetic is to be simple and elegant.

Scott is always interested to learn new tools and is not dogmatic when it comes to design and technology. He is comfortable working with pencil and paper and the alphabet soup of web technologies such as PHP, ASP, .Net, SQL, MySQL, IIS, Apache, CSS, jQuery, XHTML. Along with the web development world he also enjoys print design, typography, audio and video production.

He also enjoys sharing and communicating with other people interested in the intersections between technology and communication.
