Leslie Johns is an assistant professor in the Political Science department at the University of California, Los Angeles. Her research focuses on the use of international organizations---particularly courts and bureaucracies---to resolve international disputes. She has published in International Organization and the Journal of Conflict Resolution, and has recently completed a book manuscript entitled Strengthening International Courts: The Hidden Costs of Legalization.  She received a BFA and MS from Carnegie Mellon University, and an MA and PhD from New York University.
