The Generation Editorial Intern
burkleintern@international.ucla.edu

James Walker is a fourth-year Global Studies student and a research intern at the Burkle Center. He is a "non-traditional" student (meaning that he is 15 years older than everyone else!), a husband and a father. James was born in England, but has lived in 7 countries and has visited 36. He worked for 10 years in New York City in the not-for-profit world, dealing with everything from 9/11 pro-bono legal assistance, to working on international productions for Sesame Street. After graduating from UCLA, James plans to go back into the non-profit realm - specifically into international human rights work.
