Karla Renschler is a second-year student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Global Studies. She is originally from Aachen, Germany but spent the last 8 years in San Diego, California. Currently, Karla is a general Burkle Center intern hoping to expand her knowledge of international affairs. On campus, Karla is also the Community Service Chair of the Rotaract Club, a member of Model United Nations, and part of USAC’s Academic Affairs Commission. Exposure to the interesting political environment of Europe has fostered Karla’s interest in international affairs and peace/conflict resolution. She hopes to get a Masters degree in international relations after graduating from UCLA. Outside of school, Karla enjoys hiking in L.A., sailing, and reading about world history.
