The Undergraduate International Relations Society, or UIRS, is a UCLA Campus organization committed to promoting interest in the field of foreign affairs. From guest speakers to student discussions, UIRS offers incredible opportunities for its members to debate the most pressing issues of our time.
The UCLA International Relations Society is sponsored by The Burkle Center for International Relations. The Center fosters research, teaching and public outreach and service on the contemporary world and the role of the United States in global security, military, political, social and economic affairs. The Center provides the highest quality policy analysis on the most pressing problems on the global geopolitical landscape that affect American foreign policy. Its newly created Burkle Forum brings to campus internationally renowned policy makers and analysts to present their perspectives on issues of global importance. Members of U.I.R.S. have access to to attend Burkle Forum events and a myriad of other programs offered by the Center.
