Personal Website
Scott designs, produces and maintain websites for the UCLA International Institute and its member centers. He is also a User Experience Designer and Content Developer. He aims to serve as a bridge between project management, marketing, production and programming.
He codes websites using Web Standards (XHTML and CSS) to improve accessibility, keep pages lite so they load fast, and facilitate a production method that is flexible and simple enough to support quick changes in overall visual and navigation design. His design aesthetic is to be simple and elegant.
Trying to not be dogmatic when it comes to design and technology, he is as comfortable working with pencil and paper or the alphabet soup of web technologies such as PHP, ASP, .Net, MySQL, SQL, IIS, Apache, Linux, CSS, XHTML, XSL and RSS. Along with the web development world he also enjoys pushing print bound pixels with Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and the beauty of typography.
He likes to build easy-to-use database driven websites to help writers -- some who couldn't care less about html and web development but have something important to say -- publish on the Net.
He is also interested in photography, print design, and multimedia.
