With no recognizable stars and a 19-year old screenwriter, this breakout summer hit at the Egyptian box-office ignited controversy in the Egyptian media and marked a major departure in the nature of Egyptian cinema. With humor, sensitivity, and unprecedented accuracy, we come to understand the desires and dilemmas of Hazem, Amr, Ahmed and Tarek, four Cairo University students who are forced to choose between a life of chasing girls and getting high, or to submit to the pressures of family and societal responsibility.
