New Approaches to Algerian Jewish Studies
A scholarly workshop
Sunday, October 23, 2011
Time to be announced.
The field of Algerian Jewish Studies is currently experiencing a renaissance. Former conceptual boundaries surrounding the study of Algeria's Muslim, Jewish, and Christian populations are being rethought in fruitful and fascinating ways. This inter-disciplinary workshop brings together scholars working on all aspects of Algerian Jewish history, culture, politics, and experiences from the colonial period to the present day. It is designed as a forum in which scholars of Algerian Jews may share their findings and collectively assess the evolving state of this field.
Cost: Attendance limited, invitation required.
