This seminar is possible because of the Title VI support provided the UCLA Centers for East Asian and Southeast Asian Studies by the U.S. Department of Education. Additional support has come from the consulates general of Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand.

With the exception of Friday, August 3, the morning session runs from 9 am to noon and the afternoon session runs from 1 to 4 pm. On Friday, August 3, we will meet at Wyton and Hilgard (near LuValle Commons) at 8:25 am and will return there by 4:30 pm. You can bring your lunch or purchase sandwiches and hot dishes at a couple nearby campus locations. On August 3, we’ll be eating in Little Saigon and on August 9, we’ll bring in some Indonesian food.
