"Love Forever: Yayoi Kusama, 1958-1968"
Yayoi Kusama is known for combining surrealism and abstract expressionism
together with
minimalism and pop art. She created collages, paintings, objects and installations.
This is the
first U.S. museum exhibition to focus on her work. Some 80 works are included
in this
exhibition.

Chinese Democracy Advocate
Mr. Wei was sentenced to 15 years in prison following his prodemocracy
activities during China's
"democracy wall movement" in the winter of 1978-79. Wei was released from
prison (in the
midst of a second prison term) and expelled from China on November 16,
1997.
Wei
came to international attention with his December 1978 essay: "The Fifth
Modernization:
Democracy." You may read it by clicking here
and visiting a site maintained by Democracy in
China.
He
has recently published The Courage to Stand Alone. Click here

book, a collection of Wei's prison writings. This site includes information
on Wei's activities in
the West since his release.
