The Language Consortium Meeting on Grants
Consortium Director, Robert Blake, and Associate Director, Kathleen Dillon, will come to the UCLA campus on Friday, January 23.
They will participate in two meetings: 1) with language faculty to explain the Consortium grants program and to provide direction for submitting successful proposals, and 2) with any program directors or language faculty to discuss the short- as well as long-range goals for distributing as well as receiving courses in the less commonly taught languages available in the UC system via distance learning.
As we all know only too well, there are not many agencies that support instructional development. By applying for a Consortium grant, you may be able to get a course release or a summer stipend to work on curricular innovations or develop materials for your class. Robert Blake and Kathleen Dillon will be able to give you information about the grants and the application process.
