Ichiro Yamamoto: a Salaryman in a Japanese Film Company"Careers in Asia" Presentation with Ichiro Yamamoto, Japanese film producer Monday, June 04, 2007 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM 10367 Bunche Hall, UCLA Los Angeles, CA 90095
Ichiro Yamamoto is currently working as a producer at one of Japan’s oldest film studios, Shochiku Co., Ltd. He has worked with some of Asia’s most famous directors (Yoji Yamada from Japan, Hou Hsiao-hsien from Taiwan) and on critically acclaimed films, such as The Twilight Samurai (2002) and Café Lumiere (2004). Yamamoto is also currently a Visiting Scholar at the Cinema and Media Studies Program, Department of Film, Television, and Digital Media and a participant in the Japanese Government Programme for Artists.
