2011 Summer High School Language Program

This past summer 2011, UCLA offered classes for high school students who speak and/or understand a heritage language at home and want to learn to read and write or to develop their literacy skills. Classes offered include Amharic, Armenian, Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, Persian and Russian.

We also offered Russian and Italian for high school students with no previous exposure to the language.

* Plus afternoon tutorials.

These courses are not offered for UCLA credit but students may receive one year of language credit from their high school. Only high school students are allowed to enroll in our program.
