Russian 10 focuses on communication with attention to grammatical accuracy. The class also works on reading, listening, and writing. Video is used throughout the course. Students work with an experienced instructor and have one-on-one tutoring with a native speaker of Russian. Completion of Russian 10 fulfills the College of Letters and Science, School of the Arts and Architecture, and School of Theater, Film, and Television foreign language requirement.
Russian 20: Intensive Intermediate Russian (12 units)
June 22- August 14 2009
M/Th 2:00-5:00
Requisite: course 10 or one year of elementary Russian. Intensive second year sequence in Russian (courses 4, 5, 6). Russian 20 focuses on furthering competency in standard contemporary Russian. Additional emphasis on reading and writing skills. Exposure to Russian culture through literature, films and other activities. Students work with an experienced instructor and have one-on-one tutoring with a native speaker of Russian.
The Intensive Summer Russian Program at UCLA offers the equivalent of one year of instruction in only eight weeks.

Language Intensives in L.A. is organized by the UCLA Center for World Languages and UCLA Summer Sessions with support from the UC Consortium for Language Learning and Teaching, the UCLA African Studies Center, UCLA Departments of Near Eastern Languages & Cultures, Linguistics, Slavic Languages, and Spanish & Portuguese.
