Heritage Language Workshop
The workshop is a continuation of the UC Summer 2002 Heritage Language Institute. We will share experiences in heritage teaching, hear talks by scholars of heritage education, and see projects in development for the creation of heritage materials. Finally, workshop participants will preview, discuss, and propose content for the on-line manual for UC heritage teachers, a work in progress.
- When: Saturday, April 30, 2005 to Sunday, May 1, 2005
- Where: Royce Hall, room 314 at UCLA
- Cost: Workshop is open to the general public, but preregistration is required for both funded and non-funded participants.

The UC Consortium for Language Learning and Teaching will reimburse travel expenses (up to $200) for three participants from each UC campus. To apply, please write an e-mail message to each of your campus's Consortium Steering Committee members. The committee members' names and addresses can be found on the Consortium web site. Your message should state your name, department, language taught, and whether you teach heritage students.
The deadline for requesting funding is April 5, 2005.
