Language Intensives in L.A.
The 2009 summer program will feature classes in nineteen languages.
Take advantage of Los Angeles' status as a multilingual, multicultural capital to learn another language. Language Intensives combine rigorous classroom work with visits to local ethnic communities, allowing you to hear and speak the language in authentic settings.
Most courses are 8 or 9 weeks long and satisfy the foreign language requirement of UCLA's College of Letters and Science, School of Arts and Architecture and School of Theater, Film and Television (equivalent to one year of instruction).

Language Intensives in L.A. is organized by the UCLA Center for World Languages at the International Institute and UCLA Summer Sessions with support from the UC Consortium for Language Learning and Teaching, the UCLA African Studies Center, and various language departments.
