Through a Title VI grant, the National Heritage Language Resource Center (NHLRC) at UCLA is developing a database that will provide a greater understanding of heritage language learners' background, learning experiences, and goals. The database will be made available for research and program development purposes. A report on the survey results collected so far is now available on line here.
We are seeking college students studying their heritage language to complete the survey. To ensure that our subjects meet these criteria, we have placed password protection on the survey and are asking instructors of heritage speakers to take their students to a computer lab to fill out the survey. Completing it takes about 20 minutes.
