Telecasts of the Eichmann trial tested the limits of American television news broadcasting. Of particular interest is how footage of daily proceedings was created, selected, distributed, and incorporated into nightly, weekly, and special news programs. The interrelation of audio and video proved especially complex in these hastily produced broadcasts.
