 Duration of Lesson: 5 days

Grade Level: 3

Rationale: To connect students' life experiences with African oral traditions, so as to show them the importance of oral tradition.

Objectives:

  • The students will learn that Ati'ica is a continent.
  • The students will learn about the oral tradition in Africa.
  • The students will learn about the various folktales and their signifIcance in Africa.
