Application deadline extended
UCLA undergraduate students who are in good standing with the university are encouraged to apply. This internship is for the duration of the 2012-2013 academic year. A limited number of summer internships will be offered for the 2013 summer session.
Applications for the 2012-2013 academic year will be evaluated on a rolling basis. Applications must be submitted online and must include:
Internships are competitive. The applicant pool will be reviewed and a select number of applicants will then be invited for an interview. A final decision will be made shortly after interviews are conducted.
Interns will be expected to work an average of 6 hours per week. These hours are flexible; however, we expect a high level of commitment from our interns. Interns can also receive course credit through UCLA Center for Community Learning.
The Nazarian Center for Israel Studies hosts many large-scale events. All interns will help with the production (coordination, advertising, execution) of these events. We consider interns as part of our staff and we believe that our staff members are a reflection of The Nazarian Center. We expect our interns to conduct themselves with professionalism at all times.
In addition to assisting Center staff with all aspects of event production, our interns will also oversee the creation and distribution of The Nazarian Center’s quarterly newsletter that will be distributed to a large and diverse audience. Interns may also assist with writing and designing event materials (programs, advertisements, etc). The Center is greatly interested in developing relationships with other departments and centers on the UCLA campus and also with with the community and other academic institutions. Our interns will also serve as Outreach Coordinators by helping us develop these relationships.
APPLICATIONS WILL BE EVALUATED ON A ROLLING BASIS.
